After the first workshop cycle that covered 300 pupils of Zagreb high schools, project “Who’s that in the mirror?” prevention of eating disorders, continues on!

So far pupils from I, VII, X and XVIII gymnasium, Classical gymnasium, Gornjogradska gymnasium, Gymnasium “Lucijan Vranjina” and Gymnasium in Vrbovec have participated in this project. Workshops were also held in Education and Teaching Center “Slava Raškaj”.

Multimedia rich and interactive workshops are conducted by educated professionals and each group attends 10 workshops. They study topics such as relativity of “beauty ideal” through centuries, how to deal with your body, unhealthy eating habits, healthy ways towards food, media coverage regarding woman’s body and imperative for perfection in today’s society, enforcing self-confidence and positive attitude towards real life values.

Furthermore, pupils are educated on symptoms of eating disorders and socio-psychological context that creates anorexia, bulimia and compulsive eating disorder.
