On the occasion of the 27 th (in Pakrac) and 30 th June (in Požega) as International Day against Drug Abuse, users of Residential Centre Sloboština, set up the booth with an interesting informative and educational materials, and various organic products. They presented to citizens many activities in which they participate under the program of rehabilitation and social reintegration. It was a good opportunity to show that they are willing to contribute actively to the community.

member of the first generation of users of Residential Centre Sloboština 2010/11, Mr.Saša Kričković exchanged the wedding wows with his beloved Zrinka :) The ceremony was held in St Nikolas Church in Zagreb, and little son Neo Emanuel Kričković, born 5 months ago, was also present at the wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple! |

students included in Youth Initiative Girls Diary are awarded with special Rectors Prize of University of Zagreb. The ceremony was held at the University of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Rector’s prize winners are: psychology students Katarina Babić, Marija Biuk, Ana Džeba, Mihaela Homjak, Aleksandra Knežić and Deja Koren, students of educational science and Italian language Maja Jagar (editor) and Maja Polančec, as well as Martina Širol, social work student. Young social worker Tina Lalli and nutritionist Maja Maretić also participated in the project.

as a part of prevention program for eating disorders, public lecture was held in X.high school „Ivan Supek“. On this occasion, Association NET+ presented Girl's diary – educational work-book for high-school students. Dear guests - actress Bojana Gregurić and opera singer Martina Tomčić shared their experiences of adolescent years, shaping their female identity and their relationship to media. Dr.Mihok from Institute for public health „Dr.Andrija Štampar“ held a presentation about eating disorders, and members of our Association performed songs „I'm Beautiful“ and „Superwoman“. Students- authors of Girl's diary and their editor Maja Jagar also addressed the gathering. we are happy to inform you that the implementation of the Project for prevention of eating disorders „Who is that in the mirror? “continues this school year! The project is conducted in cooperation with Institute of Public Health „Dr. Andrija Štampar“. We are also preparing publication of Girl’s diary (Youth in Action Programme), which will contain articles related to the concept of beauty, the connection between food and emotions, proper nutrition, etc. Further, we announce the shooting of a music video of the song "I'm Beautiful" with renowned Croatian artists.

The Association NET+ is starting a new self-help group for girls with eating disorders. Participation in group is free of charge. At the meetings girls discuss following topics: media impact on the human self image, contemporary beauty ideals and ideals through centuries, building up self-esteem and empowering the group members, understaning the eating disorders and changing the attitude towards food and body. Association NET+ became a full member of the European Public Health Alliance.
EPHA represents around 100 non-governmental and other not-for-profit organizations working in support of health in Europe. General objective of EPHA is to promote and protect the health interests of all people living in Europe and to strengthen the dialogue between the EU institutions, citizens and NGOs in support of healthy public policies. |

From 10th to 12th June  |

Famous American expert in treating eating disorders, Mrs. Carolyn Costin, visited Zagreb and held a series of public performances and lectures. Croatian premiere of the documentary „America the Beautiful“took place on 11th June. After this touching documentary about socio-cultural context of the development of eating disorders, the audience participated in a lively public debate with Mrs.Costin.
