Prof. Costin held a public lecture “Prevention of
Eating disorders- it takes a village” in a hall of
The Institute for Public Health "Dr.Andrija Štampar”.
Prof. Costin talked about different researches and
Approaches in helping those who suffer from these
disorders. She also talked about specific therapeutic
activities in her rehabilitation centre MONTENIDO.
The lecture was attended by experts of different
profiles.

Prof. Costin visited Vinogradska bolnica- hospital and its pediatric department (her host was MD Žaja Franulović) during the afternoon. During the visit prof. Costin and a team of medical experts talked about their experiences in treating those who suffer from eating disorders (experiences in pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy). Prof.Costin offered her expertise to the Croatian team.

7 pm. - everyone who was interested had a chance to enjoy in a Croatian premiere of the multiple awarded documentary „America the Beautiful“. A documentary talks about the influence of fashion, beauty and diet industries on a contemporary perception of a female body and beauty. After the movie, a public debate with Mrs. Costin continued during which she answered lots of questions. She also presented her book: “Eating disorders - 100 questions and answers”. (Mozaik Books Edition)

Prof. Costin held a workshop in the Association NET+. A group of young professionals in psychology, pedagogy and social work working in the field of prevention of eating disorders had a great opportunity to learn from prof.Costin's rich experience.
